"For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth." (Isaiah 62:1)

Legacy of fools

Proverbs 3:35 states plainly that, “The legacy of fools is shame.” Shame? Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary defines shame as, “a painful emotion caused by consciousness of guilt, shortcoming, or impropriety. A condition of humiliating disgrace or disrepute.” No one wants this! Yet many live their lives in ways that bring shame and other undesirable consequences, which are not confined to this current generation, but which spill over into subsequent generations. We shouldn’t be surprised.

Thirst for the living waters

Without water you can’t live. In fact, your physical body consists largely of water. And the supply of water in your body must be constantly replenished for you to thrive. Usually, we rely on our sense of thirst to tell us when and how much water to drink.

Sometimes, however, for various reasons, our sense of thirst may fail us. And when that happens, individuals may become sick or even die from dehydration. At other times, people may thirst, but seek to satisfy their thirst with impure water that either slowly or quickly produces disease and death.

The Spirit of God is analogous to water (John 7:37-39).

Survey: Americans don't know much about religion

A new survey of Americans' knowledge of religion found that atheists, agnostics, Jews and Mormons outperformed Protestants and Roman Catholics in answering questions about major religions, while many respondents could not correctly give the most basic tenets of their own faiths.

Strategy of the Devil

In Genesis 3 we read the account of the first temptation of Adam and Eve by Satan. The strategy of the devil was successful and led to our first parents’ disregard of God’s Word to them and their rebellion against God Himself. Today Satan continues to use the same tactics, which produce the same result, namely, the disregard of mankind for the Word of God, and the rebellion of mankind against the authority of God.

When Satan is bound for 1000 years

"Faithful Christians annually observe the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) as a recurring reminder that Satan the Devil will soon be bound and imprisoned in the abyss for 1000 years. But, the Day of Atonement represents much more than that."

"The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge." -- Stephen W. Hawking

In $in-gapore, many "christians" (some even have the audacity to call themselves apostles!) teach their damned followers that "Satan was defeated when Christ died" and now the only thing left to do is to make lots of money "to glorify God".

So remember, if you're following the $in-gaporeans, you're not on the stairway to Heaven, but you're on the highway to Hell!!!

Joke - Devil Shopping

The poor country pastor was livid when he confronted his wife with the receipt for a $250 dress she had bought. "How could you do this!" he exclaimed.

"I don't know," she wailed, "I was standing in the store looking at the dress. Then I found myself trying it on. It was like the Devil was whispering to me, 'Gee, you look great in that dress. You should buy it.'"

"Well," the pastor persisted, "You know how to deal with him! Just tell him, "Get behind me, Satan!"

"I did," replied his wife, "but then he said "It looks great from back here, too!"

Joke - A Visit from Grandmother

A woman goes to the local psychic in hopes of contacting her dearly departed grandmother. The psychic's eyelids begin fluttering, her voice begins warbling, her hands float up above the table, and she begins moaning.

Eventually, a coherent voice emanates, saying, "Granddaughter? Are you there?"

The customer, wide-eyed and on the edge of her seat, responds, "Grandmother? Is that you?"

"Yes granddaughter, it's me."

"It's really, really you, grandmother?" the woman repeats.

"Yes, it's really me, granddaughter."

The woman looks puzzled, "You're sure it's you, grandmother?"

"Yes, granddaughter, I'm sure it's me."

The woman pauses a moment, "Grandmother, I have just one question for you."

"Anything, my child."

"Grandmother, when did you learn to speak English?"
