Death Swallowed Up By Life

“And he died…and he died…and he died” (Genesis 5). The repeated refrain reverberates in our ears echoing the dreadful damnation. But Christ has taken our damnation, and in its place has given salvation! “I am the Resurrection and the Life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die” (John 11:25-26). Rise up, your Lord is risen! Death has been swallowed up by life!
