RebbeMoshe of Kobrin said, "When a person suffers, he should not say 'This is bad.' Nothing that G-d imposes upon man is bad. One may say, 'This is bitter.'"
Sometimes at a much later date we may see that what we thought to be a catastrophe was really a blessing in disguise. Many times we never get to see the ultimate good of a painful experience. Rebbe Moshe tells us to strengthen our faith in G-d and not conclude that the bitterness we taste is bad.
Bitter medicine may be lifesaving.

0.01% will make it - Not too sure about the 0.09%
though. 99.9% won't make it. G-d judges one by His own criteria, not
by man-made rules. Do not be surprised if a seemingly "good man"
doesn't make it in the end.
Just take a good look at this country. Just how many in this country
worship G-d? And of the small percentage who *claim* to worship G-d,
just how many genuinely do so? This reminds me of the story of Gideon.
One who diligently studies the Word would know what G-d requires of him
- One who doesn't obviously won't know. The way I see it, "christians"
here can be likened to people who're trying to pass the entry
requirements to Heaven by reading the satanic bible.
Some of the charges brought against "christians" here may be untrue, but
most of them are true. When the situation is such that even the pagans
have more morality than the "christians", U know how bad it is.
Let me ask U something. If G-d were to tell us right now that 99.9% in
$in-gapore won't make it for sure, would U challenge Him? Or would U
accept it and praise Him? One who challenges G-d (and gets to live)
will get to learn things the hard way. That is why I told U that I've
already been corrected. I know more than U do becos this is one
specific issue that is closely related to me, and G-d is in the picture.
If He didn't care, He'd have struck me dead immediately. But I was
given the chance to be humble, and I'm thankful for that. Be glad that
U won't be joining them. ;-)
